Part Two: An Elegant Ceremony Meets North Shore Romance
Following their cozy lakeside welcome party, Niki and Jake’s editorial wedding weekend continued with a romantic ceremony at the historic Cotton Mansion in Duluth, Minnesota.
Nestled in the heart of Duluth’s mansion district, the Cotton Mansion offered timeless architecture, rich textures, and a European charm that perfectly contrasted the natural beauty of the North Shore. The ceremony was styled to feel intimate, elegant, and classic, with vintage details and warm tones that matched the charm of the venue.
After the ceremony, we returned to the shores of Lake Superior for bridal portraits on the rocks at Larsmont Cottages. With waves crashing in the background and the sky soft with late afternoon light, the portraits felt wild, romantic, and deeply rooted in place. Niki’s dress caught the breeze beautifully, and the rocky shoreline added a dramatic, editorial edge to their quiet moments together.
This part of the shoot was all about balance, old-world romance at the mansion paired with the raw, natural magic of Northern Minnesota’s coast. It’s proof that you don’t have to choose between elegance and adventure, you can have both.
Stay tuned for the final post in this series: a farewell brunch to wrap up this North Shore wedding weekend.
