I am so excited to share this gallery from Emily & Max’s courthouse elopement in downtown Minneapolis this past summer! Their day was full of happy, intimate, and special moments, and I am so grateful to have captured these special memories for the two of them! 

Wedding Location: Minneapolis City Hall

Emily and Max decided to ditch the usual wedding tradition of booking a venue, and they eloped at the historic Minneapolis City Hall!! The Minneapolis City Hall stands tall in the heart of the city, a testament to its rich history and enduring significance. Built in 1906, it has witnessed the unfolding of countless chapters in the city’s narrative. As I stand before its grand facade, I can’t help but feel a sense of awe and admiration for the generations that came before us who shaped this vibrant city. Minneapolis City Hall has been a hub of governance, where decisions were made that shaped the lives of its residents. It has been a symbol of progress, rising from the ashes of a devastating fire that swept through the city. But beyond its architectural splendor, this building holds personal significance for me and countless others. It has been a place of celebration, where couples have exchanged vows and started their journey of love. It has been a source of inspiration, hosting art exhibits that stir the soul. And for many, it is a landmark that represents resilience, reminding us of the strength and unity of this community. Minneapolis City Hall is more than just bricks and mortar—it is a living testament to the stories, dreams, and aspirations of those who call this city home.

Without the stress of working around family members, tons of vendors, and anything else a large wedding can bring, Emily and Max were able to focus on themselves completely. It was so special to me as a photographer to focus on the key factors of their relationship and make core memories with them throughout their day! 

We started inside the main hall walking around the beautiful marble architecture. This room has multiple levels, and it is the most common space for couples to get married in the city hall. Their young love was beautiful to witness, and no matter where we went, they never wanted to be apart! After they finally were married, we took some time outside the main doors to celebrate & honestly show off the fact that the two of them tied the knot!
